Hey!

It has been a while since I have been on this blog. I forgot the password, and then I found it. This season went by too fast for me. I had one big goal which was to successfully complete a full season without any health issues (injuries) and I can say that I did it. I had bigger expectations of running fast times at each meet, but I didn’t exactly run what I wanted.

Delaware Valley Invitational – 8,000m, 28:10

Fordham Fiasco – 8,000m, 27:00

University of Delaware Invitational – 8,000m, 27:46

Osprey Open – 6,000m, 20:08

DeSales Invitational – 8,000m, 28:08

CTC Championships – 8,000m, 27:54

NJAC Championships – 8,000m, 27:11

NCAA Atlantic Regionals – 8,000m, 28:23

I just have to find my rhythm and get in shape for this year. I need it. It was a fun season and I had a blast spending time with the guys. It was a learning experience for me and I am glad I did it.

Abad, I miss you.

Schedule

I have been busy this past week because of work. I will be putting up my schedule for upcoming races in the future. I have been trying to find different races all over the state (and local). I will keep you updated with what is going on.

June 18, 2011 (What will be ahead of you?)

I will continue to run until my feet give up on me. My biggest goal of all year is to have one full year of running (without injuries) and that would make me very happy. I will continue to keep training with my team for this season, I will continue to have a better sleeping schedule (getting enough hours of sleep), I will (try) to keep a healthy diet, and I will try to be a better person. My life will be great if I could achieve all of my goals. Do you think it can happen? I think it will happen.

June 17, 2011 (17:31)

Wow. That is the word that I said when I finished in 17:31 for 3.1 miles on campus. I just felt sluggish and (mentally) I was not ready to race. I don’t think I am in the best shape at the moment, but it doesn’t matter because it is only June. My goal for this class was to finish 3.1 miles in 16:00 (which would be huge for me). I knew that I wouldn’t be able to hit that by the end of this month. I must admit that my training went well for this class. However, I was hoping that my time would be a little faster, but hey, we don’t always have good days. I think it is only going to get better. I will keep you guys posted all summer about life, training, work, class, and I want you to keep me updated. Thank you for a really great class and I will never forget it. I love you.

THANK YOU for all of my friends waking up to come race and watch me this morning.

I love watching Andrew Wheating. I wish I had his talent. This guy looks like he is going out for a jog. Watch him.

Robyn Evangelist provisionally qualified, for the NCAA Championships, in the 1500m with a time of 4:33.59 at the ECAC Championships. Evangelist, this year’s NJAC Most Outstanding Female Athlete, holds a total of 12 school records (seven outdoor, five indoor) encompassing six individual events and six relays. It has been a blast watching you this year. I am very proud of you.
